The Challenge
Elevate Interiors was struggling to convert online despite having a solid reputation in the local home décor market.
The company’s website was not attracting traffic, and when it did, the conversion rates were low.
In the past, Elevate Interiors had worked with a digital marketing agency to conduct SEO and link-building.
The agency made no apparent progress over a period of several months, leaving the internal team with a lack of communication and updates, and ultimately no real results. Trust and belief in online marketing was low.
The company had a genuine desire to create a solid, trustworthy and data-driven approach.
The need was to show real, tangible growth through quality leads and restored trust in the channel.






Our Solution
The first step in our process was to conduct a comprehensive market analysis and competition analysis.
The objective was to develop a customized strategy for Elevate Interiors, that would allow them to stand out from their competition, and be recognized by their target market.
A technical audit of the website was conducted, and several issues were identified.
These included broken links, slow loading times, crawl errors and a general lack of website organization. On-page SEO was inconsistent, with missing meta tags, keyword optimization and content structure not following SEO best practices.
Our team was able to turn things around for Elevate Interiors with these following enhancements:
- Content & SEO Optimization: We created optimized meta descriptions, headings and internal linking. We also restructured content to follow SEO best practices, so that both the search engine and website visitors would understand the site more clearly.
- Image Optimization: Added alt tags and optimized images to be smaller in file size.
- User Experience: Redesigned navigation and mobile layout, which improved user flow across the site. It made for a more intuitive website that users spent more time on and engaged with.
- Google Ads: We refined PPC campaigns to focus on targeting active local customers searching for Elevate Interiors services, which increased the efficiency of ad spend and improved conversion rates.
- Blog Plan: Developed a plan for future blog posts to cover topics that resonated with the target audience and utilized SEO to increase reach and engagement.
- Analytics & Reporting: We provided regular, data-driven reporting that focused on actionable metrics and KPIs that would clearly show the team what was happening with their digital activities and provided clarity in terms of how these aligned to overall business goals.
The result was a drastic change for Elevate Interiors. From a disengaged website that provided no results, the brand now had a functioning one that was not only driving local leads, but was also strengthening the brand’s credibility, and providing a platform to work towards and ensure long-term success.


SEO Audit & Revamp
Elevate Interiors’ site was clearly not on Google’s good side. It was invisible in SERPs.
In order to move towards being more visible and effective, we started with an SEO Audit in Screaming Frog SEO Spider, which allowed us to see issues ranging from broken links to empty meta descriptions and duplicate content.
We then used Ahrefs Site Audit to go deeper and investigate both on-page content and off-page issues such as weak backlinks and poorly optimised keywords to understand the performance gap in the existing site.
In the WordPress dashboard, we started to use Yoast SEO to improve the content in different aspects like meta descriptions, headings, internal links to the content and make the site more user-friendly, and therefore crawlable.
We also set up integration with Google Search Console to be alerted about the indexing status and crawl issues on the website.
Title tags, meta descriptions, and H1-H6 headings were revised and made more descriptive and local, helping Google better understand the purpose of the page.
Images were compressed using TinyPNG for improved load time and optimised for visibility in Google Image Search using Yoast’s alt tag feature to benefit décor product pages, where visual search and image importance is key.
Combined, these changes had an impact and the site performs better in the following months.
Organic traffic increased by 164% and the site was indexed and visible in SERPs.




Google Ads (PPC)
This was not a service we usually do, but the existing Google Ads campaigns were losing thousands, so we had to clean those up and make them work.
Google Ads Keyword Planner helped us to identify high-intent keywords and target our keywords for Cape Town e.g., “custom curtains Cape Town”.
The language of the ads was crafted to appeal to both homeowners and interior designers, balancing the requests for style vs functionality.
Google Analytics tracking was set up to keep a close eye on campaign performance, optimising the bid strategy and spending less on less interested users.
Semrush Ads research was set up in order to have a look at what our competitors were doing in Google Ads and how we could improve our strategies as well.
Google Ads Editor was used to bulk edit campaigns more efficiently and allocate more budget to high performing ads and campaigns.
As a result, the company saw 65% of digital leads convert to sales and campaigns were no longer bleeding budget but were rather a source of high-quality leads.


Content Strategy (Blogging)
We developed a content strategy for the blog that wasn’t just writing for the sake of writing.
We produced content such as “Top Interior Design Trends in Cape Town” and “How to Choose Custom Curtains” that would be of interest to the type of audience Elevate Interiors actually wanted.
The Semrush Content Marketing Toolkit identified profitable long-tail keywords and also showed us content gaps where competitors didn’t show up which gave us an edge.
Grammarly was used to check the posts for readability, while Yoast SEO checked for natural and effective keyword use without it being overdone or forced.
Within a few short weeks, the blog began to attract home décor lovers who wanted to learn more about interior design.
This provided Elevate Interiors with the authority that their target market was looking for and the organic traffic that they desperately needed to attract higher-quality, interested leads.
Traffic grew by 164% organically with leads that converted.


The Results
The impact of moving from costly and untargeted paid advertising to a sustainable and organic growth strategy was swift, reaping dividends within just three months.
- Organic traffic to the site increased 164%, driving more than 50 inquiry form submissions from interested visitors.
- Leads were able to convert at a rate of 65%, issuing invoices that ranged from R15,000 to R137,000.
