Speed up Your Website with Site Speed Optimisation

Site speed is no longer a “luxury” or a “nice-to-have”. It is an actual ranking factor for Google and a significant factor of user satisfaction.

Pages that load slowly lead to irritated people, people leaving, cart abandonment and bounces. In fact, a 1-second delay in mobile load time can lead to as much as a 20% loss of conversions. Ouch.

Search engines have also noticed and tend to reward sites that are not just fast but also consistently responsive. Which is why speed optimisation is such an integral component of Technical SEO.

Technical SEO from EcoSEO is driven by both technical expertise and hard performance metrics. The objective is not just to “pass” but to optimise sites to meet and exceed Google’s Core Web Vitals standards.

This ranges from reducing load times to image optimisation to optimising server response, caching and coding efficiency. The end result is websites that not only load and function seamlessly but also demonstrate measurable improvements in rankings, traffic and conversions.

Because there’s a reason why “everything else” (SEO, UX, revenue…) also tends to go faster when your site is fast too.

ECOSEO Site Speed & Performance Solutions: What's Included

Core Web Vitals Optimisation

Core Web Vitals are the heart of page speed. They include LCP (Largest Contentful Paint), CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift), and INP (Interaction to Next Paint). These metrics determine how stable, responsive, and “smooth” your site looks and feels on every device. Our approach to optimising these Core Web Vitals focuses on the big picture: lower bounce rate, higher engagement, and happier, more active users that stick around, explore your content, click on your CTAs, and don’t even realise your site is loading in the background. It’s not just about SEO, it’s about real people and their real experience on your website.

Image & Media Optimisation

Images, graphics, videos and other media can be the biggest culprits of slow page speed. We compress and optimise all your media files, and convert them into modern, efficient formats (like WebP). Compression and image optimisation will significantly speed up page load time, without any visual quality loss. But that’s not all: your pages will look great and stay fast with lazy loading and responsive image sizing.

Server, Hosting & CDN Optimisation

Speed starts at the server. We optimise caching, implement CDNs, and recommend hosting changes that reduce latency and deliver content to the second whether your visitor is across town or across the world. The aim is simple: no delays. No excuses. Just a fast, frictionless experience for everyone.

Mobile-First Speed Performance

Visitors are browsing on mobile in greater numbers than desktop, and for good reason. It’s easy to understand why a slow site can be frustrating. So we design your site to work beautifully on any device, with mobile speed optimised for maximum rankings, engagement, and low bounce rate. With AMP, touch-friendly interactions, and every other detail designed for the modern mobile visitor, we make browsing easier, not a chore.

Ongoing Monitoring & Maintenance

Speed is an ongoing commitment. That’s why we continually monitor your site, and make changes and updates for new standards and technologies, as well as fixing any issues before they become problems. This ensures your site stays fast and your visitors stay happy, and your investment in speed continues to work for you long after your site has gone live.

Why Choose EcoSEO for Site Speed & Performance Optimisation

EcoSEO will optimise your website in areas of performance in order to reduce load times, increase website speed and improve user-experience (UX) for all visitors of your website. When a website is quick to load and responsive to user interaction, it will lead to a better bounce rate and user-experience for customers, while also helping to increase search engine rankings and organic search traffic.

Deep-dive Website Speed Audit

EcoSEO will analyse your website in full, identifying factors that could be slowing down your page speed and performance (slow-loading pages, technical bottlenecks etc.) and identifying any other potential issues that are being masked or hidden. We will then provide you with recommendations on how you can best implement our solutions to help improve your website.

Google’s Core Web Vitals

Google’s Core Web Vitals are metrics that look at the real, user-facing performance of your website (page loading speed, interactivity, and visual stability). EcoSEO will focus on ensuring that the metrics around Google’s Core Web Vitals are improved, enabling customers to visit your website and have a positive experience.

Optimise Media and Assets

Images, video, CSS files, JavaScript files all need to load fast. EcoSEO will ensure that assets are optimised to ensure pages will load quickly (compressing, minifying and other optimisation tasks).

Server and CDN optimisation

Speed should be instant from the moment someone clicks onto a webpage. EcoSEO will ensure your server, caching and CDN are optimised and integrated together to make sure that content is being delivered as quickly as possible from the server to your customer.

Monitor and Maintain

Website speed and performance is not a “one and done” solution. Websites require consistent maintenance and EcoSEO will provide updates on issues we can immediately resolve and others that may need ongoing attention to ensure the performance is being maintained in the long-term.

Transparent Reporting and Visibility

Reports will be provided to you to show you exactly what is being improved on your website (load times, overall performance scores, Google’s Core Web Vitals and how these are impacting upon SEO and organic traffic).

Website Performance Engineering Roadmap | 6 Steps to High Velocity

Our process is grounded in the work we do day in and day out, which is rooted in practical application. Speeding up websites isn’t just to hit a higher number on the performance dashboard. Fast websites have less friction, better Core Web Vitals and outrank slower competitors.

  • Step 1 - Baseline AuditOur audit is a combination of Field Data (CrUX) and Lab Data (such as PageSpeed Insights & WebPageTest) to understand the true performance profile of a website as it’s experienced by real users. It highlights Time To First Byte (TTFB) bottlenecks, the existence of render-blocking resources, and establishes the baseline scores for LCP, INP and CLS. In other words, we diagnose the fundamental issues impacting the site’s performance.
  • Step 2 - Optimizing the Critical Rendering Path (CRP)Website performance optimization best practices are centered around a concept: Deliver what users actually need to view and interact with the page and defer the loading of non-essential CSS and JavaScript until after the page has loaded. The CRP optimization primarily focuses on above-the-fold content. In other words, what users need in order to start using the page when they first arrive. Images, CSS, fonts, scripts and other resources deemed necessary for above-the-fold content are prioritized while other non-critical resources can load in the background, invisibly, giving users a “speedy” experience.
  • Step 3 - Resource & Media EfficiencyWe optimize all heavy resources to run at 100%. All images are optimized and converted to modern formats (WebP), resized according to their display size, and lazy-loaded when they're off-screen. JavaScript and CSS code are minimized and strategically code-split to only download what's required, ensuring all resources are as lightweight as possible.
  • Step 4 - Caching Strategy & Server Response Time FixesOften, improving speed begins on the server, not the browser. Hosting infrastructure, database query performance, caching policies, and CDNs are all configured and optimized to reduce network latency. These improvements make a world of difference to TTFB, which allows your content to appear almost instantly, no matter where your users are located in the world.
  • Step 5 - Third-Party & Script GovernanceMonitoring and optimizing third-party scripts are essential for controlling loading, execution, and potential render-blocking effects. We will audit and validate all third-party resources (analytics, ads, widgets) to ensure that they won't cause main thread blocking. Preloading, preconnecting, and asynchronously executing the scripts can help ensure they won't have a negative impact on interactivity (INP).
  • Step 6 - Validation, Monitoring & Performance GuardrailAfter all has been implemented, we check that everything is working as expected on different devices, browsers, and network conditions. We also set up a Performance Guardrail (ongoing monitoring and reporting system) for your Core Web Vitals so you'll know if anything else could have a negative impact on your website speed in the future.

Site Speed & Performance FAQs

Less than 2 seconds if possible. Search engines (especially Google) love fast sites, and your users do too. We strive to make your pages load as quickly as possible without sacrificing functionality or design.

We use a number of standard industry tools: Google Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix, Core Web Vitals tracking, and more. The combination of all these allows us to view your site from all angles and give a very good indication of what’s working well and what can be improved upon.

Yes — speed is a ranking factor, but not the only one. A faster site results in improved user behaviour and conversions, which Google also takes into account.

Yes, most platforms are fair game. However, there are limitations sometimes on some CMS or hosted platforms that you just can’t get around (mostly a cap based on the server or the platform itself). But we’ll wring as much juice out of whatever we can.

Both. We offer both a one-time site speed “fix everything” package, and ongoing speed monitoring for as long as you like. Site speed is never a “set it and forget it” process, as both technology and search algorithms keep evolving.

Yes. Mobile-first indexing means that mobile speed is now a requirement, not an afterthought. We’ll make sure your site is as fast and functional as possible on any device.

Awesome! Head over to our Contact page, send us an email and we’ll be in touch ASAP. We’re excited to help your site run faster — and I do mean “run”.
