Check to Make Sure That It Is Actually Findable

You may have heard this a million times but it is easy to forget.

There is no point in putting up the greatest content in the world on pages, if Google can’t find your site. If it can't crawl it and get to the pages in question, and finally index it, then you will not see it in the search results.

EcoSEO’s Crawlability & Indexation Services are all about ensuring that your pages are findable, crawlable and indexable.

We don’t just check the obvious settings, we delve a bit deeper. This ensures that there are no hidden technical errors, indexing bottlenecks, or structural SEO mistakes that are likely to be impacting your rankings.

Did you know that according to Botify there are about 45% of pages crawled by Google, that are never indexed?

That is almost half of the pages that your search engines spiders are crawling, that no one will see unless something is done to the site to ensure that they can all be indexed.

We want to ensure that your site is not just 100% technically correct and won’t break or get an error in Google’s eyes.

More importantly, we ensure that every single page on your site is findable, crawlable, indexable and with a better chance to show up in searches and in turn potentially pull some traffic.

ECOSEO Crawlability & Indexation Solutions: What's Included

Sitemap & Robot.txt Optimisation

XML Sitemaps and robots.txt files are great navigation tools for search engines – when they’re created correctly. We optimise them to point crawlers in the right direction, and filtering out low value, duplicate and restricted content.

Indexation Monitoring & Management

Submission is not enough. We track pages to ensure they’re indexed, identify pages missing or blocked and take corrective action to ensure all your valuable content is indexed.

Crawl Error Resolution

Broken links, redirect issues, server errors – these slow down and potentially stop search engines from crawling your website effectively. We find and fix these crawl errors so bots can crawl to every page of your website.

Structured Data & Schema Implementation

We add structured data, schema markup and rich snippet optimisation on top of your site, so search engines can “see” (and index) your content more effectively. Better understanding means your pages have a better chance of appearing in rich search results – and that exposure really does matter.

Reporting & Technical Insights

You’ll have visibility of technical aspects of your SEO, with straightforward reports on crawl stats, indexation levels, crawl errors fixed and pragmatic recommendations you can use to keep your website optimised for search. It’s transparency that actually empowers you.

CUSTOMERS REVIEWS

"Friend told me about EcoSEO. I am a skeptical person, so was not really that confident that they would be able to help me. Been having major issues with some clients leaving the website and not returning. After their audit they told that is probably technical issue and broken links that was causing visitors the website to leave before checking out. They fixed it within one day. Over two hundred 404 errors links.” –

Crawlability & Indexation Services – Unleash Your Search Engine Potential

Did you know that a Google representative once told me that it’s not uncommon for 30–40% of a website’s Search Console report to return 404s? Imagine that. Pages and pages of content that search engines cannot see.

Search engines must crawl and index your site in order for your web pages to appear in their results. However, if your site has technical issues it is almost inevitable that a search engine will miss parts of your website.

This isn’t a “nice to have” or some trivial thing to fix later, this is the absolute foundation of any SEO strategy that actually works.

At EcoSEO we help your business:

  • Ensure that every valuable page is discoverable and indexable
  • Repair the structural or technical errors quietly holding your site back
  • Increase organic traffic by assisting search engines in understanding your site as you intended

When crawlability and indexation are working correctly your site stops missing ranking opportunities. Each page has a fighting chance to perform and your content can now show up where it matters.

Why Choose EcoSEO for Crawlability & Indexation

With EcoSEO, we don’t “tweak” your website. We use a blend of technical know-how with a practical approach, ensuring search engines are crawling and viewing your website in the first place.

Technical Crawl Analysis

We get under the hood of how search engines crawl your website, uncovering low-hanging issues that could be causing crawl delays. With a crawl path map of your internal linking, structure and page hierarchy, we identify crawl bottlenecks and potential reasons search engines may be missing important pages on your site. Our aim is to ensure every important page is visible and easily reachable so that it can be indexed and has the best opportunity to rank in search.

Indexation Maximisation

A page not only needs to exist, but it must also be indexed for users to find it. We track and report on which pages are indexed, highlighting any important missing pages. We then ensure any gaps are addressed, so your important pages are visible for users and unimportant or duplicate pages don’t negatively impact your SEO.

White-Hat Technical SEO Practices

SEO is not a quick fix; it’s an investment. We use white-hat, safe technical SEO methods that won’t be detrimental to your website in the future. This means your website is fully compliant with search engines, and also building a long-term solid foundation for your website to grow and gain authority.

Structured & Semantic Optimisation

Schema, structured data, and intelligent metadata are not just for looks. Adding context and meaning to your content helps search engines “understand” the purpose of your page. The result? Appealing snippets, improved CTR and better visibility, all without negatively impacting the user experience or search engine crawlers.

Regular Monitoring & Maintenance

Websites evolve over time and with it, their technical SEO. Pages are added, updated, removed, moved and changed. We monitor any changes, easily flagging crawl errors, redirect issues or any indexing issues in their infancy, so they can be fixed and maintained. This helps to prevent any drop-offs or lost opportunities with your organic search growth.

Transparent Technical Reporting

We are not a black box. You receive clear, simple and actionable technical reports which highlight crawl statistics, indexing reach, and technical improvements we have implemented. You will have a clear understanding of how search engines are crawling and indexing your website and easily see the impact our technical SEO is having, making it easier to understand your SEO ROI.

CRAWL AND INDEX CONTROL PROTOCOL | 6 STEPS TO A LEANER, MORE EFFICIENT SITE

We like to think of this as surgical control over how search engines see and interact with your site. The idea is simple: stop wasting crawl budget on pages that don’t matter, and let Google spend more time on the content that actually drives traffic and revenue.

  • Step 1 - Crawl Budget Diagnostics & Waste AnalysisWe start by marrying the crawl stats in Google Search Console to your server logs, to understand clearly and precisely how bots are crawling your site. The analysis goes beyond reporting errors – we identify the directories, file types and low-value URLs that account for an inordinate amount of crawl. Once the crawl pattern is established, it’s easy to see where the waste is coming from.
  • Step 2 - Index Bloat Identification & Source MappingNext, we examine your indexed pages. Is there low-quality, duplicate or otherwise unnecessary content in your index? The presence of such pages, collectively referred to as “index bloat”, quietly saps your site’s authority. We track down each page’s root cause, whether it be poorly managed internal search results, faceted navigation or category/tag archives, and plan the appropriate solution.
  • Step 3 - Robots.txt & Directive StrategyThe robots.txt file is the scalpel. We use it to instruct bots not to crawl entire areas of the site that are not of any value (development areas, sorting URLs, duplicated filters, etc.). Done correctly, this should immediately stem the hemorrhaging of crawl budget, while still allowing bots access to pages that are important and matter to search performance.
  • Step 4 - Canonical & URL Parameter ConsolidationDuplicate pages are tackled next. Canonical tags are used to point multiple iterations of the same page towards one canonical (or “master”) URL. We also configure directives to instruct Google on how to handle URL parameters, so it stops creating and crawling multiple pages unnecessarily. The aim here is to make your site architecture as clean, logical and bot-friendly as possible.
  • Step 5 - Noindex & De-Indexation ProtocolCertain pages may already be in Google’s index but should not be. These are targeted with the noindex meta tag and, if necessary, the GSC Removal Tool. This leads to low-value or dated content being quietly pulled from Google search results, thinning out your site index to only the pages that matter.
  • Step 6 - Crawl Efficiency Monitoring & ReportingWe then monitor changes to your site closely over the coming weeks. How much time does Google spend crawling high priority pages? How many pages are crawled in total? How many more pages are we blocking from bots? Have the errors in your GSC Coverage report cleared up? This process is about much more than applying a short-term fix. It’s about making sure that bots are actually spending their time, once changes have been implemented, where it will have the biggest impact on your bottom line: crawling the pages that actually matter to your site’s performance.

FAQ About Our Crawlability & Indexation Services

Crawlability refers to the accessibility and navigability of pages within a website to Google’s crawlers. The inability to reach pages due to broken links, redirects or other crawl errors can mean that they simply won’t be indexed, and will be invisible to search. No matter how great your content is, it won’t show up in results if the search engine bots can’t find it.

We crawl and analyse the inner workings of a site (optimizing sitemaps, robots.txt, canonical tags and internal linking structure) so that all valuable content is properly indexed. We ensure that there are no “blind spots” which prevent Google from easily finding and understanding what you have to offer.

Yes, most definitely. If there are technical issues which prevent search engines from properly indexing a page or crawling a site efficiently such as broken links, redirect loops or crawl errors then over time this will damage your visibility. You may not realise it, but these little problems can really erode your organic presence over time.

We do. Schema and structured data can provide search engines with more information about the content on a page which can help with indexing. It also allows for rich snippets in search results.

Results can vary depending on the size and complexity of the website in question, however most of our clients see faster indexing and improved visibility within a few weeks after the recommended fixes are in place. It’s not exactly overnight but the results can come much faster than expected.

Yes, of course. Crawlability is not a “one and done” service. We continue to monitor a site so that as it grows and changes, search engines will continue to be able to find and index its content.
